I would happily recommend the overall package of member benefits which Cobra provides. Chief amongst these is the support of the Cobra Compliance team. I value this greatly as we are a small brokerage and do not have a separate compliance officer. Cobra are always there for me with invaluable support in meeting FCA requirements, updating me with topical issues and new developments, and assisting me with completing Gabriel returns in a timely and accurate manner.

With the extremely hard market that we are in, the difficulties we and our clients face from COVID-19, and the issues with the BI Covers, being part of Cobra and PIB family has never felt more important to Independent Brokers.

We’d been a member of another network for some time, so having jumped ship to Cobra Network some time ago we’re in a good position to compare their offerings. Prior to joining Cobra in 2005, we considered a number of networks. We concluded that Cobra would be the best match for our needs. Fast forward 15 years and we have indeed benefited significantly, not least in respect of market access and schemes. We know that, as part of Cobra Network, we have the ongoing ability to compete in both hard and soft markets.

We’ve received amazing support, including opening up agencies with insurers, HR and compliance. We’ve built a really close working relationship with Cobra Network. This includes our Business Development Managers, who jumps in and helps when we need extra support with insurers. We get asked to join other networks, but we always tell them we’re Cobra Network members and have no intention of moving.

The fantastic collaborative relationships we’ve built with Cobra Network, Cobra London Markets and Cobra Underwriting Agencies, and the superior market-access and products that they provide, has given our business a tangible competitive advantage over our rivals. It’s helped our business to grow exponentially.

We have received fantastic service and expertise from our Cobra Compliance Consultant that has helped us shape the governance framework and our sales processes of our new commercial business. We are also experiencing the benefit of having access to the specialist services of the wider PIB facilities like Q Underwriting. Overall, Cobra have massively exceeded the expectations I had of a network and I look forward to continuing to work closely with the team in future.
